Upgrade your Pontiac Melling oil pump with this ¼" thick hydraulic bearing grade thrust plate with integral LPI pressurized oiling circuit for both performance and stock applications. This thick thrust bottom plate replaces the stock steel oil pump thrust bottom plate and reduces wear while carrying a much higher load. The proprietary designed oil circuit is built into the heavy duty thrust plate and allows the gear set to "float" on a channel of oil thus reducing the coefficient of friction between the mating surfaces. Works with all Melling traditional '55-'81 Pontiac oill pumps.
